Message from the Foreign Secretary

Gower FC participated in the Unity Cup over the summer - here is what the Foreign Secretary had to say about it:
By providing opportunities for young people to meet we can break down barriers between communities here and overseas, overcoming the differences that can sometimes lead to conflict.
The Foreign and Commonwealth Office supports initiatives aimed at building better understanding between communities, strengthening our shared values and working together to promote progress toward a more peaceful and tolerant world.
Sporting events are unrivalled in their ability to inspire people across the world and activities like football provide a natural opportunity to bring people from a variety of backgrounds together.
I commend FC Unity’s initiative in using football as a positive contribution to this cause.

organisation was a shambles, teams an players needs were compramised to meet poorly planned targets and above all they ruined everything by crumbling to the bullying of the guys who didnt like the fact that they had lost.
